Suggest Treatment For Cough And Sore Throat

Went to the doctor with a cough and sore throat. Took a chest x-Ray and they said my lungs look great. They prescribed me levofloxacin for what they think is bronchitis. The coughing up of mucus has almost gone away except for in the morning when there is some (not usually giant) amount of blood in the mucus, but my chest still kinda feels like I need to cough a lot but it really doesn t feel necessary when I try to cough. Intermittent sore throat throughout the day. I am a light smoker (2-10 cigarettes a day) and have asthma. I m 23. Any ideas on what it could be?
