Suggest Treatment For Constipation Problems

Hello, I ve had constipation problems everyday in my life since my emergency appendix removal surgery when I was 10. Now 6 years later I still have it and I ve asked my doctors what can I do to get rid of it and they ve told me to eat more healthy, exercise and not to eat certain foods. I do now eat healthy and do not eat foods that they ve told me to stay away from, and make sure to run everyday but I still have constipation. Does the surgery I had have something to do with my constipation and what can I do to get rid of it for good?

Hello,

Some advice that I can give to you is:

-Drink more water.
-Eat more fiber, especially soluble, non-fermentable fiber.
-Exercise more.
-Take Senna, an herbal laxative.
-Eat probiotic foods or take probiotic supplements.
-Use over-the-counter or prescription laxative.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
