Suggest Treatment For Constant Bloating, Upper Back Pain And Bouts Of Diarrhea

Hi there I ve been suffering with bloating for a long time now but more recently it feels as if the bloat is on the left side just under my ribs. It s much worse with eating or drinking and causes upper back pain especially after lunch and I return to work. I generally feel full up all the time, I still have an appetite but feel I so full after eating. I ve been tested for celiac disease but this came back normal. I seem to get bouts of diahreah quite easily especially with fried food when eating out. Any ideas? Many thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to irritable bowel syndrome. I recommend to avoid food that can trigger the symptoms. Meanwhile,I suggest using an over the counter option to treat the bloating such as Simethicone. I also suggest using daily probiotics.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
