Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

A cold is a common problem in children in this particular age group. Mostly caused by a viral infection but having started antibiotics, I would advise you to complete the course. Regarding Ataline syrup, I would not advise giving it unless your kid is examined by the pediatrician. It will help only if your child has a wheeze and if kids have a wheeze they will be generally working hard to breath, there will be fast breathing with rattling noise over the chest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nirubhan Bharathy, Pediatrician
