Suggest Treatment For Cold And Throat Infection

I have a cold and throat infection , so my dad started an atibiotic yesterday.. its azithromycin 500mg, one per day for 3 days is what he prescribed.

but my cold and uneasiness were severe i took a cold act yesterday night.. now i have severe pain swallowing and dry mouth...
how can i feel better?

Well come to HCM
If this is cold and throat problem, this could be allergic condition and here no need start antibiotic because this may not be infection, if I would be treating physician then I would treat this with the following medicines
1) Tab Levocetrizine 10 mg three times in day
2) Tab Acetaminophen 500 mg three times in day
salt water gargle would be helpful, have voice rest, steam inhalation, be patience everything would be fine soon, have a nice day.
