Suggest Treatment For Chronic Back Pain

Hello, I am in chronic back pain (6 or7) every day and am trying to limit my usage of Norco . I also take methocarbomol (1500 mg) if the pain is below a 7. Sometimes my pain hits so fast, I have no time to do anything that helps. My symptoms are mostly from weak back muscles from long term bed care. Is there any exercises that will relieve some of the pain and strengthen my back muscles from a sitting position? Thank you. Mary Harter

Oncologist 's  Response
Hi,

Acupuncture, massage, biofeedback therapy, laser therapy, electrical nerve stimulation and other nonsurgical spine treatments can also make a difference for chronic back pain.

Analgesics, anti-inflammatory drugs, muscle relaxants and other medications can be used to help control chronic back pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Monish De, Oncologist
