Suggest Treatment For Chronic Back Pain
Chronic back pain right side above the waist wrapping around right rib anxiety and tachycardia high blood pressure. Weight loss 22 lbs no apatite. Cortisone epidural for c6-7 disc bulge, chronic inflammation of muscles from c1-t11. Weekly visits to chiropractor & massage w/o relief. Going on for 2 years very frustrated. In medical field 47 years old female, post menopausal, on diozide 25mg, now on toprol12.5 mg ultram for pain as needed. Labs ok except for CRP elevated. Any thoughts?

Hello,
The right side pain above waist and around ribs can be part of possible gravels or calculus in the urinary system and not related to spine issues provided it is purely located to the flank region only. Pain reliever would be possibly giving pain relief for a couple of hours or so, but the main concern here would be the diagnosis of the root cause and manage accordingly to cure it.
In my clinic, I do recommend a soft tissue ultrasound followed by CT scan with contrast as per the results of the same. If any of the reports are available with you, kindly share with me during follow up discussion period please.
