Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain

MY 17 YEAR OLD GRANDSON HAS CHEST PAIN FOR SEVERAL MONTHS OFF AND ON. HE HAS TO LAY DOWN AT TIMES AND HOLDS HIS CHEST. SEEN IN ER LAST NIGHT AND HAD TWO EKG S INCIDENTAL FINDINGS OF RV CONDUCTIVE DELAY SINUS ARRYTHEMA. DR. PUT HIM ON ZANTAC 150 MG FOR A WEEK OR SO THEN WILL DO ANOTHER EKG. CHEST XRAY NORMAL.

Thanks for posting your query .

Your grandson's symptoms are pretty much suggestive of a Heart Problem . Though EKG may have not shown any significant abnormalities but it doesn't mean that everything is fine with heart .

I advise you to get 2D Echo scan done which will look into his heart much better and tell us what is the condition with his heart .

At his age there are certain Congenital anomalies called Septal defects which can be easily corrected through minimal invasive surgeries if detected early . So don't neglect the symptoms and get the 2D Echo scan done as soon as possible .

Kindly revert back to me with the scan report .
