Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain And Breathing Difficulty During Pregnancy

I m 32 weeks and 6 days pregnant and I am having terrible chest pains and it s hard to breath. I went to the hospital last week and they said I have a possible blood clot in my lungs but I refused the ct scan. They also told me that if it seems to get worse to come back. I m not sure what to do and I am scared for the safety of my child. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Chest pain and shortness of breath warrant thorough investigations. If your doctor is considering lung thrombosis you should go back immediately and have the CT scan done as this is a medical emergency. This is important for your child's life and for your life as well.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
