Suggest Treatment For Chalazion On The Eye

Hi, I have had a chalazion on my eye for about two weeks now, and it hurts. The other ones I have had previously never hurt, and this one is so large it is blocking a very good part of my vision. I was told that putting ice on it would help it to not swell as much, but it is not helping and tea bags will not work either. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

Here you should consult ophthalmologist for examination of lesion and accordingly treatment plan....

For chalazion initially topical antibiotic ointment and topical antibiotic drops can be prescribed

If lesion not resolves than intralesional steroid treatment done

If all medical management fails than surgical excision under local anesthesia can be done

Take care

Hope this will help you
