Suggest Treatment For Cellulitis In Legs

I have had celulitis in both legs from knees down for approx six weeks,. preceeded by water retention I have been prescribed cream and antibiotics during this time. I am now on the second week of these Clarithromycin 500mg and am still uncomfortable and tired of the restrictions I have. I do get sharp pains in various places on legs and feet. Although it looks better now the swelling in my ankles and lower legs just doesn;t go away. What should I do?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The cellulitis may have affected the veins in the legs which may be reason for the persisting swelling.

You would need to elevate the legs whenever possible.

The use of special stockings to help with venous disease, may also be needed.

I hope this helps
