Suggest Treatment For Canker Like Sores In Mouth

I had hip surgery 5 days ago. Since the day of the surgery my throat has been roll and irritated. I noticed canker like sores developing in my mouth on the side walls and my mouth is constantly dry. I did not have the symptoms prior to surgery could it be surgery related. Just curious want to take care of it if I can. Hard to eat and very sensitive.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR CONCERN.

The symptoms you mention in query are common after surgical procedures . They occur due to few reasons like :-

Firstly due to high dose of antibiotics .

Secondly due to lowering of immunity after surgery .

Usually such ore go away by their own without any treatment . I would suggest you to :-

Do warm saline rinses several times a day .

Do betaine rinses once or twice a day .

Apply orabase gel if itching or irritation is there in oral cavity .

If the sores persist foe more the a week then consult oral pathologist for proper examination and to rule out oral herpes .
