Suggest Treatment For Burning Feeling And Bleeding From Yeast Infection
I have experienced a yeast infection which I haven t had in 20 years . I used monistat 3 and still had slight symptoms so I used monistat 1 and experienced severe burning to numbing. It is finally going away but still have some tingling. I don t have a discharge unless I force one. I notice a small amount of bright red blood after a bm a few minutes ago. Can this be from the aweful burning experience from the monistat or do I need to be concerned about another possible problem?
If you are still having symptoms after using Monistat two rounds, I would try the systemic candida oral medication and have a digital exam for the blood. If it is bright red it is either from the localized irritation you mentioned or you have aggravated some tiny herniations close to the anus opening.
Physicians in the US typically prescribe Diflucan to see if that will clear up yeast infections that linger after topical treatment.
If this becomes a reoccuring problem even after oral treatment, then I would suggest that a yeast free diet or mold free diet be implemented on a trial basis to see if results are obtained from diet alteration.
Thank you for coming to HCM for guidance. Sincerely, Kathryn J. Shattler, MS,RDN
