Suggest Treatment For Bump On Buttock Cleft

My sister started with pain in her vagina and then found a bump on the innermost side of her buttox..eventually it spread into two dry, open sores . we rubbed coconut oil on it and covered it up n it seemed like it was getting better..few days later she had an out break of about three more...its not a cluster of moist bumps..more like small clusters of circular scab like sores. Could this be sex related? She just recently started birth control (the pill)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to hcm,
It's difficult to diagnose without examining, Based on your description I think it could be infection of hair follicles.I advice you to ask your sister to consult a gynaecologist to rule out any sexually transmitted disease. Meanwhile you can take a course of antibiotics like amoxycillin and see if the symptoms subside.

Thank you
