Suggest Treatment For Bump On Anus And Vaginal Swelling And Discomfort

Hi, I have a bump that is sticking out of my anus. The bump doesn t seem to hurt when I clean the area and i can push it back inside of me. The area between my anus and my vagina is swollen and in discomfort. I m so uncomfortable that I cry. I m wondering what this is. Is it a hemorrhoid? Should I go see a doctor or keep using hemorrhoid cream?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The symptoms you have mentioned most likely suggests the presence of piles / hemorrhoids.I would suggest you to visit your doctor to get yourself clinically examined to identify the degree of hemorrhoid present. In certain types, injection of sclerosing agents and medical treatments can reduce the symptoms. In severe hemorrhoids, surgical treatment will be necessary.

Surgical treatment will prevent complications like ulceration, fibrosis, strangulation, hemorrhage or gangrene.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
