General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The functional abnormalities of uterus mostly co-relate with underlying hormone imbalance.

There can be adenomyosis, uterine fibroid or other issues responsible for the same.

Once the conservative therapy reveals its results one may decide the further need of an ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis or not as per the clinical progress and concern.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
