Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
When I met my partner she told me after about 2 months together that she had bulimia and I told we to stop. It s three years later now and I think she is still doing it. Can someone just quit like it s nothing. I think she was doing it for about 2 years prior to dating me.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Bulimia is a psychological disorder so no one can just leave it considering it's nothing. Medical counselling, behavioral therapy is a must along with medications (antidepressants). Your friend needs consultation of an expert psychologist for diagnosis and treatment of her problem.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
