Suggest Treatment For Bruising On Buttocks After Injury

while on a small ship touring the Galapagos I fell suddenly down a flight of steps creating a bruise initially of about 8 inches in diameter to my left buttock. Then the swell developed. But I was in a tour group--all I could do was a little bit of icing and and an Aleve pill. Then I was subjected to bouncing (via bus mostly) the following week of the tour. Nearly two weeks later, my butt still hurts and has a swell of about 3 inches in diameter. The bruising has traveled to the other butt and down my thigh. \Question: will this resolve on its own? Should I be icing still (it's been well over a week since I did that) I am now at home and find touching the area is still quite painful.

Dear friend,thanks for telling your problem.it seems that your bruise and the related infection has not been cured till now.you should do regular antiseptic dressing of bruise region in your buttocks and thighs.stop wearing tight dresses that put pressure on these regions.also take broad spectrum antibiotic to kill the local bacterial colonies of the bruises.while icing on this region is beneficial you can take Ibuprofen to decrease pain from this bruise.my best wishes.thank you.
