Suggest Treatment For Bruising And Swelling On Shin

I got kicked in the shin really hard 2 weeks ago. . I am 72. Barely a bruise where I was kicked but toe black and blue as well as the sides of my foot.. The swelling in my foot and a lump below where I was kicked is what us giving me the most discomfort. Elevated the keg last night above my heart and swelling went down considerably. This mornning put a pressure sock on to help with swelling. Leaving for a 2 week cruise and just want to know if I should be concerned about lump on leg or bruising and swelling? Any suggestions other than what I am doing? Thanks so much.

I think you need to see a orthopaedic doctor and take his opinion if there is collection of blood or any muscle injury. Take antibiotics and pain killers to reduce swelling along with compression bandage.
