Hi,

The bump on your kid's face can be any of the following:
1) Dermoid cyst
2) Nasal polyps
3) Vascular malformations
4) Congenital malformation

For all of the above MRI scan is necessary to know the extent of cyst and it's connectivity with intracranial structures. Treatment depends upon the type of cyst.
1) Medical treatment includes nasal decongestants, nasal and oral steroids, immunotherapy etc.
2) Surgical therapy includes removal of cyst.

So, your child needs MRI scan to know the extent of tumor and it's vascularity. Please do consult an otorhinolaryngologist for a specific diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
