Suggest Treatment For Bruise On The Calf
My Grandad has a very large purple bruise on the back of his right calf but it has a white (normal colour) centre. But he s adiment that he hasn t hit it or fallen. He felt rather badly last night. Is it connected and do you have any idea what it could be? Thanks Phoebe Mallinson

As per your history, it may be due to blunt trauma.
For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.
Still he may require Doppler ultrasound of affected leg after consultation.
You can apply heparin ointment locally after consultation.
Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying investigation and diagnosis.
