Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My cycles vary from 29-37 days. My last period was the 15th of March. 7 days ago I started getting brown tinged discharge. Then it turned into brown spotting. After two days it went a bit reddish then back to brown again. After 3/4 days it stopped then started again the next morning. It wasn t enough to fill a pad and is only noticeable when I wipe. It got a tiny bit heavier a few times. On and off. I then had a bit more red blood. It soon went back to brown. This has been going on for 7 days! I took pregnancy tests as soon as it started and every day since. All negative. I ve never had a period like this and I have been having them for 10 years. They are normally heavy with dark-light red blood and it lasts 5 days.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, such irregular menses could be due to hormone disturbances and this may be age related (here you have not mentioned this ) wait for some time this would be corrected in next cycle if this is not some age related phenomenon, else you have to go for clinical examination, ultrasonography is the test that can show the possible cause beside the hormone disturbances, take care.
