Suggest Treatment For Breathing Disorder.

Hello Dr Andrew. I have a result of 6 on a Sleep Test - Suspected pathological breathing disorder. My readings for Oxygen Desaturation seem to where the problem is. I did the test at home as part of a 6th decade health study (lucky to find out). I will take the results to my GP and fortunately have also just had blood tests done (no results as yet). I nave looked at the symptoms online, and I have them. I am overweight and menopausal. I guess my question is. Hello,

This is certainly a treatable condition. The apnea machine OR serious weight loss (10 to 20 percent) each are highly effective. The anti-depressants are not generally a cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman
