Suggest Treatment For Boils On The Forearm

5 year old son has had 2 prior boils on the lower forearm--about 4 week apart and about 2 inches apart, now he has another boil on the same arm but upper arm. When to doctor and got creams, never got culture to determine if MRSA because was treated with Septra and had alergic reaction. What and how should I treat this new boil? Why is he getting boils only on one arm. No one else in family has been sick or getting boils. HELP!!

Hello, thank you for consulting with healthcare magic.
It seems that your son has bacterial skin infection and creams might not work anymore. What he needs is an oral antibiotics to eradicate the bacteria. The previous boil might seem to have healed from the outside but deeper tissues are still infected hence he gets the lesion in the same area. I advise that you consult your doctor to be able to get a prescription for the antibiotics. Advise your son to always wash his hands, not to scratch his skin and not to touch the lesion. Any break in his skin can be a portal for bacteria to enter. Hope I was able to help you. Have a good day!
