Suggest Treatment For Blood In Urine And Abdominal Pain

My husband found bloodclots in his urine yesterday. He has some dull pain in his lower abdomen. He is 64 and takes rosuvastatin teva for a number of years. He is very worried and intends to go see his GP after the weekend. This morning his urine was clear. Please advise.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The most common cause of blood in urine are
*infection with or without calculus
*tumours
In patients younger than 35 infection is most common cause in older cancer is most common cause.
I suggested you to do an ultrasound and maybe a cystoscopy.
