Suggest Treatment For Blood In Stools During Pregnancy

I strained during a bowel movement and I'm 6 months pregnant. The bowel came out extra large...the size of a minature microphone. I guess that's not a good description it was very large and it was very painful and I seen a spot of blood...what should I do?

Hello,

You have to take a high fiber diet. Avoid spicy food and alcohol. I think you may develop hemorrhoids or fissure. If stool hard means you can use syrup lactulose 30ml at night. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
