Suggest Treatment For Blood And Mucous In Bowel Movement
Dear Dr.My doughter is 6 years old and from one month defecates with a 5ml bright red blood with mucus after soft stool. After stool analysis took 400mg metronidazol 3 times daily for 10 dayes but the same symptoms are still found. please help. yours M.Ab.Alim

Fresh blood along with stool could be due to various reasons. It may be due to rectal polyp, varices, inflammatory bowel disease. Please get evaluated with near by gastroenterologist. If there is any weight loss, or fever, abdominal TB should also be ruled out.
