Suggest Treatment For Blocked Nose In A Child

My 8 month old son has had a problem of a blocked nose at night since he was 3 months old. Often his nose gets blocked and he wakes up crying. We have used nasoclear nasal spary and nasivion mini as well but it only gives him temporary relief. What can be done to relieve him of this problem and is metaspray a safe remedy?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your child have symptoms of blocked nose which could be due to nasal polyps, deviated nasal septum and it could be due to allergic sinusitis.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit pediatrician once and get it examined to find cause of nasal blockage and then start treatment accordingly. You should start treatment after complete prescription. Give child steam inhalation and gargle with salt water. Give diet rich in multivitamins. Avoid pricking nose with any sharp object and use Sinarest drops 3-4 times daily to relieve congestion.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
