Suggest Treatment For Bleeding Wound On Ear After Bug Bite
Yesterday A bug (I didn t see it, only heard it) bit the back of my ear while I was working in a wooded area. The skin on the back of my ear has peeled off (y mom thought I had been burned when she saw me). I tried washing it and now its bleeding. My ear is hot, looks awful, and I m very concerned. I went to a local clinic and they gave me Cephalexin (4 pills per day for ten days) and Mupirocin Ointment (apply 3 times a day). I m worried because I don t know if it s healing and my ear began bleeding because I interrupted the scabbing process r if I m not taking effective medication. What is your opinion on the matter? Please and thank you.
It usually takes 5-7 days for healing process. I would suggest you to take your medicine properly AND avoid touching that area with dirty hands. Hopefully you will see improvement in 2-3 days. If pain occurs then you can take acetaminophen thrice a day for pain.
Report to hospital if: > Any unusual symptom appears > Condition deteriorates.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. Wishing you good health.
