Suggest Treatment For Bilateral Hip Osteoarthritis

In 2009 I was finally diagnosed with bilateral hip osteoarthritis. I have been suffering with the hip pain since about 2005. I am unable to walk or sit without pain and swelling, sometimes rendering me in the bed for 2 or 3 days. I m only able to hold on to furniture to move around in the house. My insurance (Wellcare) will not cover hip replacement. My PCP says at age 59 I am too young for hip replacement. I have a walker, but I also have herniated disc 5-6 & 7 from a fall in 2002 & DDD in the lumbar spine. Therefore, it is difficult to use the walker. I have been in anti inflammatory meds for over 20 years & using creams. I need an alternative or else soon I will loose my independence. Any recommendations?
