Hello, Recently, I have noticed that my urine has been giving off an odor that I can best compare to the smell of burnt plastic. I experience no pain before, during, or after urination, and stay vigorously hydrated throughout each day (1 gallon of water per day). There is no abnormal discoloration of the urine, and I am not experiencing any discomfort or pain in the kidney regions. I am a very healthy, 24 year-old male with no history of serious illness or major bodily trauma. I will mention, however, that I have experienced two (2) separate cases of exertional rhabdomyolisis in the past calendar year. Both cases were treated successfully without any damage done to the kidneys. Given my history, I am now well aware of the symptoms that indicate the onset of rhabdomyolisis (namely caramel colored urine), but cannot attribute any of these symptoms with my current urine situation.
