Suggest Treatment For Back Pain With This Lumbar MRI Scan Result

I have been suffering from back pain from last 3 years and have undergone 3 MRI tests. the most recent one says that the lumbar portions are a bit dehydrated and evidences of disc bulging can be seen. The doctor prescribed some injection in the joint which would cure this problem. I wanted to know if this is the correct solution for this problem or it can be solved without the use of any injection or surgery kind of things.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

For now I don' t think surgery would be required, probably repeated injections every now and then should help cope and deal with the problem. If it does not and any degenerative changes are noticed, then may be other solutions should be considered.

Best wishes.
