Suggest Treatment For Back Muscle Spasms And Lupus
I am looking for information pertaining to lupus. I have an ANA result of 1:6400 vitamin D of 14, stomach problems, every muscle in my body hurts but I recently was put into the hospital because of major muscle spasm in my back which I thought the pain was in my stomach. It hurt so,bad that I wanted to die. I have had back surgeries and now I have a pain pump inside my body that did help with my back pain but now it s all of my muscles aching severely. My fingers do turn white etc when they are cold. I m taking a high dose of vitamin D. I have had over twenty epidural spine injections. I am now also having adrenal gland problems like my bp gets very high and/or very low with no advanced warning. I often feel like I cannot take a breath when my bp is off.

As per my clinical experience, the back muscle spasms with lupus not responding to conventional epidural analgesia indicates significant immune response to underlying antibodies. In my clinic, after thorough clinical examination, I do recommend evaluation with level of particular antibodies as that of anti DS DNA and others.
That will help to determine the load of inflammatory response and accordingly one has to decide the doses of steroids or other supportive therapy for further cure.
