I had been diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis in 2009. I was very sick, weak, jaundiced with extremely elevated liver enzymes. However all the immune tests were all negative. I got treated with prednisone and a short duration of imuran. I got better, but got sick this year in January-with elevated liver enzymes, extreme pain in the stomach and ultra sound diagnosis of inflamed gallbladder and gallstones. , my question is...could the gallbladder inflammation be the problem and not auto immune? I told ruun to tell family members not to think it was my visit home that brought this on, I was not feeling well before my trip. My Drs were not on the ball with my blood work for the liver issues. I should have been on meds or no travel. Anyway I am hopping to be better soon inshallah. And I am very grateful to Allah for your continued recovery.
