Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor, I am astamatic patient from last 7-9 years. I never used a inhaler or anything when i was in UK for last 4 years. Then i moved to Australia and after four months, my asthama has triggered again. Doctors say it is normal and it happens. I am not sure it has been 2 months now having difficulty in breathing. Can you please advice. I have gone to 5-6 GPs. All of them said just use ventolin inhaler when you feel like. It will go away after winters or may be in 3-4 weeks.
It seems like the environment in Australia does not good to your asthma. In such cases we suggest Seretide inhaler for 2-3 winter months twice per day. Please discuss with that doctors about the above and I am sure they will take into account recommending you some inhaler with long effect.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
