Suggest Treatment For Asthma And Mild Ear Pain

hi, i saw a doctor the other day for a cold that had settled into my chest. i was having a hard time breathing and have asthma. i was on two different inhalers and he put me on a steroid pack as well. i feel much better but have been coughing so violently for the last 4 days that i ve lost my voice. this morning i woke up with a mild earache which is still happening. i m concerned that the earache may be something to worry about even though i m feeling much better. he gave me a prescription for a z pack of antibiotics but said not to take them unless i have a fever or am coughing up yellow stuff. i don t have a fever or am coughing up colored stuff - but is this the same antibiotic i would be prescribed if my earache persists?
