hi,

Thank you for providing the brief history.

As you mentioned that your husband is suffering for aphasia, first it is need to understand is he having any neurological condition. As aphasia is one of the symptoms for neurological conditions. Also, to understand that without coming close to the root cause of the pathologies, it will be really tough to mention. Since, when the aphasia is and how did it all started is important. Getting a thorough neurological assessment is recommended as without assessing it will be tough to come to a conclusion.

What did the MRI report suggest, if mentioned in detail can be assessed further in that case once we know what the MRI suggest.

As, the medicines are provided for symptomatically for controlling the symptoms so the body heals on its own. As mentioned by you, any pill or supplement, than i will say post complete neurological assessment things can be look further.

Also, in the mean time you can perform some regular breathing exercises as oxygen supply can help improve the neurons of the brain. The nerve cells can be helped on the basis of the metabolic process. As you mentioned that the neurologist have told that the bran cells are dying, then breathing exercises will play a role to trial up the neurons.

Without a thorough neurological assessment it is tough to come close to condition so will recommend to get one done. Also, with the knowledge of the age and the family history some thing may come of help to find the root cause.

with the grace of God i wish your husband a good health.

Kindly get a thorough neurological assessment.
