Suggest Treatment For Anemia And Lower Abdominal Pain

I have had lower abdominal pain for several weeks with constant gas pains. My hemoglobin has been very low unless I am on constant iron pills, as soon as I stop taking them it goes back to around8.5. I have what starts out as a tiny pimple or ingrown hair and becomes a huge hole in my skin and lasts for 9-10 months. This has happened twice. I have seen a dermatologist, and endocrinologist and they have no idea what is wrong. I dont know who else to try and figure this out

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It might be due to gastritis triggered by iron pills. As a first line management, you can take antacids like Omeprazole or Pantoprazole for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated. In that case, you might require an ultrasound scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
