Suggest Treatment For An Infected Navel Piercing

I got my belly button pierced 3 months ago. A few days ago I squeezed it cause I can usually get a little bit of white stuff out and this time I squeezed it and every time I did a bunch of yellow puss would come out. It did that 3 times then it was blood. No more has come out. But my belly button is sore. I've been putting antibiotic ointment in it and cleaning it out with peroxide, soap, and salt water. Am I helping it at all? It doesn't hurt that bad anymore.

Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your question first of all I would suggest you to gently remove the stud or naval ring that you are wearing as many a times if you are wearing metallic ring that is not made of gold or silver it can cause reaction when exposed to air and water and cause allergic reaction and infection on skin..
After removing it clean the area with povidone iodine (betadine) and apply TRIPLE ANTIBIOTIC Ointment or the antibiotic ointment that you are applying..
Do the procedure twice daily and do not cover the area with gauze or bandage..
It will heal in less than a week..
If does not heal consult a general Physician and he can advise you to take Oral antibiotics .
