Suggest Treatment For An Indent In The Right Eye Caused By An Injury

I have an indent in my eye, my right eye. This happened when I was reorganizing my desk draws at home, then I accidentally poked myself with a hard wooden ruler, in the pupil. My eye started to tear up and it got all red, then when I looked in the mirror I saw that there was a tiny little indent on my pupil ( the black thing in the middle)the indent was hard to see, very hard to see, but it was still there. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Pupil is a small opening through which light goes in the eye, in the muscular screen (dark in colour) in the centre of the eye. Hence, there can't be an indent on the opening, at the most, it can be injury to the black curtain covering sclera called as cornea. This needs to be confirmed by minute examination by an ophthalmologist. This can cause small opacity (which you are calling indent) can be treated with an expert ophthalmologist.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
