Suggest Treatment For Alcohol Induced Hepatitis
Hello,
My father is in CCU right now. It's a complicated situation but I will do my best to explain. He went in two Thursday's ago with severe pain in his side and they admitted him to run test. Once in there he began to have sweats and his blookd count was low. That made them put him in CCU to monitor him. Since then his kidneys have failed, his lungs are not functioning right so they are helping him breath 35%, his bladder isnt working, his body is filled with toxic fluid, his colon is infected, I think they said his liver has alcohol induced hepatitis, and they are running stool test now to see if he needs surgery on his intestines. They say they are giving him the strongest antibiotic to kill the new developing bacteria and they have him under some medicaine to put him to sleep because he has a tude in his throat that is draing some kind of fluid they say is toxic. I hope I explained everything and I know it's alot but ur my last option

Sorry about your father health condition But I appreciate your health concern about him. From history, it is difficult to comment what is the exact cause.
With correlation with a lab report, we may come to conclusion. He may be having alcoholic hepatitis. But what is the SGOT and SGPT level.
Serum bilirubin, serum ammonia or urine analysis report or kidney function tests etc.
He may be in hepatic encephalopathy with hepatorenal syndrome with septicemia.
Need to be intubation with antibiotics, IV fluids support may treat accordingly.
Please consult your gastroenterologist if liver failure is severe means he may need liver transplantation.
