Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have abdominal pain. Last night it was a burning, fiery sensation in my stomach; centralized below my xiphoid process. I regurgitated my entire stomach contents to help ease the pain and I took anti acid tablets and pepto (which I have never before taken in my life) hoping it would ease the serious discomfort. This morning, the fiery sensation is gone, but I cannot stand straight and my entire abdomen hurts. When I try to push on my stomach the myos contract and it hurts more when I turn to lay on either side. Would this be appendix pain or just the stomach flu?

Hello , you had burning and fiery sensation in your abdomen along with pain in the epigasrium(central part of upper abdomen),also had regurgitation it means you are having Ac Gastritis with acid peptic disease(APD), therefore you must take antacid treatment (omeprazole+domperidon) twice a day, ofloxacin+ornidazole, twice aday and antispasmodic tabs such as dicyclomine 10 mg.thrice a day for 2 days and after that when ever required , you may take complete treatment for 5-7 days, its not the sign of appendix or stomach flu.Hope you will feel better by my advice. good luck and Take care.
