I am a 40 yr old male. I have experienced abdominal pain under the right rib cage for probably 18 months almost on a weekly basis to start, now DAILY. I had a HIDA SCAN done back in 13 to check gallbladder function and was told was fine. Now I was told that at that time, the Ultrasound actually showed a small mass and 4-6 polyps of 3-4mm in my gallbladder along with wall thickening. Today, I have had another Ultrasound In December 2014 to see what is happening as the pain and discomfort, especially after eating, has increased 10 fold. It Is hard to sleep, eat, work at times and the pressure is intense. They are now saying the scan (ultrasound) shows 7mm-12mm polyps, 4 clusters of them, wall thickening, the mass has grown and I also have stones and sludge. I am supposed to get surgery, will find out tomorrow for removing the gallbladder. Should Laproscopic be done, or open to look for cancer now with the dramatic change in the last year? Also, I have been experiencing mucous discharge (clear and slimy fishy smell) for about 2 months and never thought about it and it is really bad now. Also, I just after sort of examining myself found polyps or something is the rectum area. NO PAIN, NO BURNING, NOBLOOD, so thinking its NOT HEMARHOIDS. Your thoughts and suggestions that I need to evaluate with this surgery? Thanks again. Duane Thank you... A very concerned patient. Duane
