Suggest Treatment For A Small Bump On The Chin

I had a really bad bump type pimple on my chin. I didn t go away as quick as I d like and now its gone but i have a bit of a red spot there, an acne scar I guess, and I can t grow facial hair in that spot. I ve always grown out my facial hair on my chin and now I have a patch there. How can I get this spot to start growing hair back?

Hi. I have gone through your query and understand your concern. By the history provided by you, it seems that the affected area has undergone scarring after the boil healed. So there is a permanent hair loss at that area because of loss of hair follicles due to scarring. The ways in which you can treat this is:
1. Undergoing hair transplantation in that localized area of hair loss.
2. Excision of the bald patch and suturing the ends so that there is no discontinuity in the hair growth. This is best addressed by a plastic surgeon.
I hope I was able to answer your queries. Kindly feel free to ask me if there are any more doubts. All the best.
