A few days ago my 15 year old son received a heavy knock on his right ear. I subsequently took him to a hospital ER where they found he had a perforated eardrum. He has been referred to a Specialist...appointment in 3 weeks. My son is still very keen to play Football, but I fear he may receive another knocj which may cause further damage to his ear. What you suggest I do????
A perforated ear drum might heal by itself if it doesnt get infected..Keep your ear dry..wear ear plugs while bathing /swimming..Make sure he doesnt get flu/cold..My advice will be to wait till his appointment with ent
