Suggest Treatment For A Painful Knot Near The Shoulder Blade

Painful knot next to left shoulder blade. Have had a professional massage as well as used a tennis ball to help rub it. No relief. Also have rubbed sports cream for aching muscles to try to help. Hurts worse when standing while fixing dinner or just daily walking. I have had this for more than 2 months. Went away only when recovering from foot surgery. Now that I am mobile again, pain is back.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that this can be a lipoma or swelling made up of fat. To confirm this diagnosis I would suggest you to get ultrasound examination of the knee joint.
If there is lipoma than you can get it removed surgically. It is a very small procedure. Some time steroid injection can also be given in swelling which can regress the swelling.
You can share your ultrasound report with me. I will try my best to help you.
Thanks
