General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A bump the head has many possible causes, including cysts, fatty growths, and bone spurs. So, a head X-ray should be done to confirm the consistency of the bump. Based on the act that you had it since you were born and it is not an acute condition, the treatment usually consists in surgery. There is not anther way to remove the bump. You should consult a neurosurgeon for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
