Suggest Treatment For A Lump On The Head Caused Due To A Fall

My son fell off a skateboard about 2 months ago and hit his head very hard on the road. He didn t show any signs of concussion although it did hurt a lot and he had an abrasion with some blood. Now he has a spot on his head in the same area that is red and gets a yellow crust on it and it s itchy. Can it be related to his fall?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A history of fall with subsequent abrasion and bleeding is definitely due to fall.
The red spot is due to erythema and yellow crust that developed on the site is due to drying of the tissue fluid that oozed from the abrasion.
Itching can develop on the site of lesion when the lesion heals.
Thus, wait for thhe lesion to heal completely.
You can apply antibiotic ointment on the lesion.

Thanks and take care
