Suggest Treatment For A Lump On The Buttock

Hi, I have a lump right underneath the surface of my butt cheek and I was wondering what it is. I haven t fallen or done anything to cause one to be there, it just sort of appeared there and the spot where it is has slowly gotten more tender and painful to sit on. I can feel the lump when I touch it, but you can t tell there s anything there from looking at it. It is pretty small, maybe a bit wider than my index finger

Although it requires a clinical examination to opine on the lump, from the history it seems to be an infected lump, ranging from a simple abscess to a pilonidal abscess in the area. I would advise you to get it assessed by a general surgeon in your area for an appropriate management. Till then, you could go for an anti inflammatory drug along with a proton pump inhibitor for a symptomatic relief.
