Suggest Treatment For A Large Patch Of Dead Skin On Leg

My boyfriend has a really large black patch of dead skin on his leg and we don t know what it is. He scratches it all the time, it doesn t get worse but it doesn t get better either. It s really scaley and rough and black. He did some research and read that it might be the sign of some type of cancer, could this be true ? He s had it for some years now.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI
WELCOME.
I HAVE GONE THROUGH YOUR QUERY.
FIRST OF ALL DO NOT DIAGNOSE BY YOURSELF.
IT NEED TO BE EXAMINED TO SAY WHAT IT IS.
BASED ON THE LIMITED INFORMATION, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO DIAGNOSE.
KINDLY SEE DOCTOR FOR EXAMINATION AND EVALUATION.
DO NOT PANIC AND ALSO DO NOT DIAGNOSE IT BY YOURSELF.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you.
Take care.
I find this answer helpful
